William Black graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1877. He retired as a U.S. Army Major General in 1919.

John Blanding served from 1936 to 1940 as National Guard Bureau Chief. He retired as a U.S. Army Major General.

Edward Bliss graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1916. He retired as a U.S. Army Colonel.
