The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Lieutenant Cecil D. Murray, United States Navy (Reserve Force), for distinguished and heroic service as an Airplane Pilot operating with United States and British forces. Lieutenant Murray took part in raids over enemy lines in co-operation with British Squadron No. 214.
