Arthur MacArthur entered the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis at age 16, one of the youngest midshipmen in history, and graduated with the Class of 1896. He was the son of Civil War Medal of Honor hero Arthur MacArthur, and older brother of General Douglas MacArthur.
