The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Lieutenant, Junior Grade Arthur N. Lawrence, United States Navy, for distinguished and heroic service as an Aviator operating with the United States and British Air Forces in the War Zone. Lieutenant, Junior Grade, Lawrence took part in many raids over the enemy’s lines.
