The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Lieutenant, Junior Grade William Gaston, United States Navy (Reserve Force), for distinguished and heroic service as an Aviator operating with U.S. Naval Aviation Forces, Foreign Service, and with the British School of Night Bombing. Lieutenant Gaston made several raids over enemy lines.
