The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Lieutenant Commander John A. Gade, United States Navy, for distinguished service in the line of his profession as Naval AttachŽ at Copenhagen, Denmark, where he developed sources of information which were most valuable to the commander of naval forces operating in European waters and to the Naval Information Division of the British Admiralty.
