    The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Corporal Raymond W. Boone (MCSN: 88478), United States Marine Corps, for extraordinary heroism while serving with the 79th Company, 6th Regiment (Marines), 2d Division, A.E.F. in action in the advance on Bouresches, France, 6 June 1918. After receiving three severe wounds Corporal Boone continued in the advance on Bouresches. Having been sent to the rear, he returned close to the advanced lines, where he assisted in bringing in the wounded.
