Rudolph, United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. First Lieutenant Rudolph distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving as a Medical Officer with the 6th Infantry, American Expeditionary Forces, in action 15 October 1918, in entering the town of Romagne and establishing a first aid station.
