Warren (ASN: 2809306), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private Warren distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with the Medical Detachment, 359th Infantry, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Villers-devant-Dun, France, 2 November 1918, in administering first aid to a wounded comrade under heavy shell and machine gun fire.
