First Sergeant Robinson distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Company C, 105th Engineers, American Expeditionary Forces, in action in the Bois de Consenvoye, Argonne Sector, France, 30 October 1918, in volunteering to cut down some trees to clear a field of fire.
