Pringle (ASN: 1472502), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Sergeant Pringle distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with 139th Ambulance Company, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Baulny, France, 28 -0 29 September 1918, in voluntarily organizing relief and litter parties and leading them out under heavy shell fire.
