Wagoner Lathrope distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Supply Company, 131st Infantry Regiment, 33d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Consenvoye, France, 8 – 14 October 1918, in volunteering to drive his team up to the front line dump with rations and ammunition, over heavily shelled roads.
