    Headquarters, 3d Division, A.E.F., Citation Orders No. 22 (July 8, 1919)

By direction of the President, under the provisions of the act of Congress approved July 9, 1918 (Bul. No. 43, W.D., 1918), Second Lieutenant (Field Artillery) Arthur A. Jamieson, United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the World War I Victory Medals awarded him. While serving with the 76th Field Artillery Regiment, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, throughout very trying and repeatedly critical times during the engagements on the Marne, at St. Mihiel and in the Meuse-Argonne regions, Lieutenant Jamieson displayed a fearless disregard for all dangers and inspired great confidence, almost continually undertaking voluntarily the performance of duties which kept him in great danger at all times. His devotion to duty, gallantry and courage, although he was suffering from gas poisoning of a severe nature, set a splendid example for all.
