Bostock, United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the World War I Victory Medals awarded him. While serving with the 76th Field Artillery Regiment, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, First Sergeant Bostock displayed exceptional courage at Le Norvins Farm, France, 15 July 1918. While his battery was under heavy enemy fire he rendered valuable services in encouraging his men and in going out under heavy fire to locate ammunition supplies deserted by other artillery units.
