Bever (ASN: 2240729), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private First Class Bever distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Ambulance Company 357, American Expeditionary Forces, in action on the Villers-devant-d’un Montigny Road, 5 November 1918, in giving first aid to the injured under heavy enemy fire.
