While serving with Headquarters Company, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, near Crezancy, France, on 15 July 1918, Sergeant Henry remained at his observation post for nineteen hours under intense artillery fire, and by his faithfulness to duty gained information which would have been impossible to secure in any other manner.
