No. 43, W.D., 1918), Sergeant Robert Elliott (ASN: 297494), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Sergeant Elliott distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Battery D, 119th Field Artillery Regiment, 32d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action at Juvigny, France, 1 September 1918, in preparing a hot meal for his company under continuous shell fire.
