Michael Corr was born in Ireland and studied at Saint Patrick’s College there. He came to the United States in 1907, attending Seton Hall College in South Orange New Jersey. He received his theological training at Seton Hall Seminary, and was ordained a Catholic priest on June 10, 1911. He served as Chaplain of Conception Council, Knights of Columbus, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He entered military service on January 7, 1918, and sailed to France with the American Expeditionary Forces. Many of the young soldiers in his 114th Infantry Regiment were students who had studied under him at Seton Hall. After the war he served as Curate at the Immaculate Conception Church in Chicago, Illinois. Then for 33 years he served as pastor of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Orange, New Jersey.
