No. 43, W.D., 1918), Corporal Harry Brubaker (ASN: 2337874), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Corporal Brubaker distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Company B, 4th Infantry Regiment, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Grand Ballois Farm, France, 14 – 15 July 1918, in carrying important messages under heavy shell and gas fire.

While serving with Company B, 4th Infantry Regiment, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, Corporal Brubaker reorganized the runner relay system after two of his posts had been put out of action on account of casualties and carried important messages himself during heavy gas and shell bombardment near Grand Ballois Farm on the night of 14 – 14 July 1918.
