    By direction of the President, under the provisions of the act of Congress approved July 9, 1918 (Bul. No. 43, W.D., 1918), Sergeant Harrington Little, United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the World War I Victory Medals awarded him. While serving with Company A, 3d Supply Train, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, near Courboin, France, on 16 July 1918, Sergeant Little while under the direct observation of the enemy, and during a heavy shelling of the roads to be travelled, displayed unusual courage and disregard for his personal safety, convoying the trucks under his control to a place of safety under extreme difficulties.

No. 43, W.D., 1918), Sergeant First Class Harrington Little, United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the World War I Victory Medals awarded him. While serving with Company A, 3d Supply Train, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, Sergeant First Class Little voluntarily drove a three-ton truck carrying ammunition to an exposed position after a horse drawn caisson on this same mission had been destroyed by enemy fire. Under heavy enemy fire and after unsuccessful attempts he succeeded in going through the enemy barrage with the much needed supplies.
