While serving with Company B, 3d Ammunition Train, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces,
    during the Aisne-Marne Offensive, 18 – 31 July 1918, Sergeant Unruh showed gallantry in dispatching trucks to batteries and locating new roads while roads and dumps were shelled at Jaulgonne, France, 25 July 1918.
