    By direction of the President, under the provisions of the act of Congress approved July 9, 1918 (Bul. No. 43, W.D., 1918), Private First Class Frank A. Kenney (ASN: 1038116), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the World War I Victory Medals awarded him. While serving with Battery B, 10th Field Artillery Regiment, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, Private First Class Kenney served his battery faithfully during the action on the Marne and in the Argonne. During the German attack on the night of 14 – 15 July 1918, he was acting as driver on an ammunition wagon and showed great coolness and courage in handling his team under great difficulties in the face of great danger. He rendered valuable service until severely gassed.
