    By direction of the President, under the provisions of the act of Congress approved July 9, 1918 (Bul. No. 43, W.D., 1918), Bugler Theodore Farmerie (ASN: 10388290), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the World War I Victory Medals awarded him. While serving with Battery B, 10th Field Artillery Regiment, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, Bugler Farmerie faithfully and efficiently served with his battery during the entire actions of the Marne, St. Mihiel, and the Argonne. On the morning of 15 July 1918, on the Marne, he volunteered his services as driver to carry ammunition after many of his companions had fallen in an effort to reach the battery, all this under heavy shell fire.
