By direction of the President, under the provisions of the act of Congress approved July 9, 1918 (Bul. No. 43, W.D., 1918), Sergeant Frank W. Myers (ASN: 1038258), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the World War I Victory Medals awarded him. While serving with Battery B, 10th Field Artillery Regiment, 3d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, Sergeant Myers served his Battery faithfully and courageously throughout the actions on the Marne, at St. Mihiel, and the Argonne. During the Marne action on 14 – 15 July 1918, he rendered valuable services in keeping his battery supplied with ammunition under great difficulty and in the face of great danger. He served as Chief of Section during the Argonne, being at all times calm and fearless and an inspiration to his men.
