War Department, General Orders No. 10 (1922)

By direction of the President, under the provisions of the act of Congress approved July 9, 1918 (Bul. No. 43, W.D., 1918), Corporal Everett S. Wilkinson (ASN: 1322904), United States Army, is cited for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Corporal Wilkinson distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Company B, 115th Machine-Gun Battalion, 30th Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action at Vaux-Andigny and Molain, France, 11 October 1918. With disregard for his personal safety, Corporal Wilkinson volunteered and led a carrying party across area swept by enemy artillery and machine gun fire with machine gun ammunition for Company A, 115th Machine-Gun Battalion, who were in designated positions in front of Vaux-Andigny, France, at that time.
