Dailey (ASN: 1246105), United States Army, is cited for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private First Class Dailey distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with the Sanitary Detachment, 112th Infantry Regiment, 28th Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Apremont, France, 6 October 1918, while attending to the wounded during an enemy bombardment.
