The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Lieutenant General Alfredo Dallolio, Italian Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, during World War I. As Inspector General of Artillery, Italian Army, General Dallolio performed duties of the greatest importance with conspicuous ability. Actuated by a warm spirit of cooperation, he aided materially in maintaining the cordial relations which existed between the Italian and American military authorities.
