The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Lieutenant Colonel (Field Artillery Noble B. Judah, Jr., United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished services to the Government of the United States, in a duty of great responsibility during World War I. As Assistant Chief of Staff, G-2, of the 42d Division during all its campaigns, by the skillful direction of the Intelligence Service Lieutenant Colonel Judah proved a material factor in the successes gained by his Division. He at all times displayed assiduous application to his important task, rendering services of the utmost value.
