In the Office of the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff during the World War and the following demobilization period, Colonel Jones’ tactfulness and initiative in meeting the varied situations presented and sound judgment in passing upon many maters of highest importance, contributed materially to the successful functioning of that office during the war.
