The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Major Walter Charles Grant, British Expeditionary Forces, for extraordinary heroism in action and distinguished service as a member of the British Army while serving with Allied forces during World War I, in support of U.S. Naval Operations.
