The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Lieutenant Buisson, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with 307th Company, 3d Battalion of Light Tanks, Assault Artillery, Army of France, near Massif Blanc Mont, France, October 3 – 8, 1918. During attacks by the Second American Division, Lieutenant Buisson continually distinguished himself by acts of courage and by his devotion to duty. When his captain was killed, he assumed, command of the tank company, and with extraordinary heroism, in the face of heavy fire, accomplished the mission entrusted to him.
