Pulker (ASN: 254037), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Battery C, 42d Field Artillery, Coast Artillery Corps, near Suippes. France, on 14 – 15 July 1918. Private Pulker, a chauffeur to whom no regular duty during the engagement had been assigned, voluntarily assisted in carrying wounded French and American soldiers to safety under severe bombardment.
