The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Private First Class Vincent Alvin Maslowski (ASN: 741464), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Company D, 52d Infantry Regiment, 6th Division, American Expeditionary Forces, near Munster, Vosges Front, Alsace, 14 September 1918. Private First Class Maslowski, with other men of his squad, was on duty in a firing trench in combat with the enemy.
