    The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pride in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross (Posthumously) to Private Floyd Clark Lambing (ASN: 2470475), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Company A, 320th Infantry Regiment, 80th Division, American Expeditionary Forces, near Nantillois, France, 10 October 1918. Private Lambing, when his company was suddenly pulled back, went forward through both friendly and enemy shell fire to an advanced post, and directed the occupants of the outpost to safety, although he was killed in the act.
