Fink (ASN: 1378728), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Battery A, 124th Field Artillery, 33d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, near Remonville, France, 31 October 1918. Private Fink, a driver, was seriously wounded by shell fire while going forward to the front line infantry trenches with his platoon, but he remained at his post, refusing to seek medical attention until he fell from his horse, exhausted.
