Before the attack progressed very far, all the noncommissioned officers in the company were injured or killed and the men, with no other leader than the company commander, became somewhat scattered and took shelter. With a fine disregard of danger Private Feinberg went up and down the line aiding in reorganizing the company and resuming the attack displaying qualities of leadership worthy of the best traditions of the service.
