The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pride in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross (Posthumously) to Private Pasquale Di Giacomo (ASN: 1518469), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Company F, 145th Infantry Regiment, 37th Division, American Expeditionary Forces, east of Baccarat, France, 15 August 1918. Private Di Giacomo was one of four men who successfully held a small advanced post against a raid of 80 of the enemy.
