    The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Private Peter L. De Rosselli (ASN: 2786122), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Company F, 361st Infantry Regiment, 91st Division, American Expeditionary Forces, near Gesnes, France, 4 October 1918. Accompanying a patrol on a reconnaissance, Private Rosselli penetrated enemy positions, the exploit being accomplished under heavy fire. Although wounded, he returned with valuable information regarding the positions of enemy machine-gun nests and sniper posts.
