Blomgren (ASN: 1209144), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Sanitary Detachment, 106th Infantry Regiment (Attached), 27th Division, American Expeditionary Forces, near Ronssoy, France, 27 September 1918. During the operations against the Hindenburg Line, east of Ronssoy, on 27 September 1918, Private Blomgren displayed unusual courage and bravery by going forward through the terrific shell and machine-gun fire to rescue wounded comrades.
