Beaudette (ASN: 49881), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Company C, 23d Infantry Regiment, 2d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, near Landres-et-St. Georges, France, November 1 and 3-6, 1918. Single-handed, Sergeant Beaudette attacked and captured a German machine-gun nest, killing with his pistol the seven members of the crew.
