The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Captain Harry Ervin Yarnell, United States Navy, for distinguished services in the line of his profession in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, and on the Staff of the Commander, U.S. Naval Forces operating in European waters during World War I.
