    The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Lieutenant Commander George Cook Sweet, United States Navy, for distinguished service in the line of his profession as the officer charged with the design and installation first of the high-power radio station at Annapolis, Maryland, and later of the still more powerful station at Croix d’Hins, France, the latter being at the time the most efficient radio station in the world.
