The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Rear Admiral (MC) Edward R. Stitt, United States Navy, for exceptionally meritorious service in a duty of great responsibility in connection with the U.S. Naval Medical School and in connection with general sanitation and military work at the school and throughout the service.
