The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Lieutenant (MC) George G. Ross, United States Navy, for distinguished service in the line of his profession as Surgeon at U.S. Naval Base Hospital 5, and in operating units at the front, especially in connection with the wounded at Chateau-Thierry, Belleau Wood, and Pierre Fonds.
