By direction of the President, under the provisions of the act of Congress approved July 9, 1918 (Bul. No. 43, W.D., 1918), Private Ed A. Teague (ASN: 1322966), United States Army, is cited for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private Teague distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Company B, 115th Machine-Gun Battalion, 30th Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action at Vaux-Andigny and Molain, France, 10 – 11 October 1918. While acting as runner Private Teague crossed and re-crossed area swept by enemy artillery and machine gun fire and established and maintained liaison between company headquarters and the various platoon headquarters.
