No. 43, W.D., 1918), Private First Class Harry Hansen (ASN: 1377078), United States Army, is cited for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private First Class Hansen distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Battery F, 123d Field Artillery Regiment, 33d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action northeast of Very, France, 12 October 1918, in establishing a battery communication by repairing telephone lines under heavy enemy shell fire.
