Taylor (ASN: 1903594), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Medical Detachment, 326th Infantry Regiment (Attached), 82d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, near St. Juvin, France, 11 October 1918, Private Taylor repeatedly exposed himself to concentrated machine-gun and artillery fire, crossing the Aire River several times, and administered first aid to wounded men with complete disregard for his own safety.
