The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 9, 1918, takes pride in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross (Posthumously) to Private Thomas Logue (ASN: 297562), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in action while serving with Battery D, 119th Field Artillery, 32d Division, American Expeditionary Forces, near Montfaucon, France, 29 September 1918. Private Logue worked ceaselessly under heavy enemy shell fire, in carrying wounded comrades to the first aid station, until he was himself severely wounded.
