The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Lieutenant, Junior Grade Charles F. Beach, United States Navy, for distinguished service in the line of his profession as Engineer Officer of the U.S. Air Station at Montchic, and as a participant in a number of raids with the British Squadron including several combats with enemy airplanes.
