Llewellyn, United States Army, is cited (Posthumously) by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. First Lieutenant Llewellyn distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with the Tank Corps, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Montrebeau Woods, France, 4 October 1918, in advancing with his platoon of tanks against a hostile battery firing against him direct.
